Open an Orbit Exchange Account Through a Broker

The short answer

Orbit Exchange opens through a broker, and all four of ours give you a route to it under three platform names: OrbitX at AsianConnect, Sharp Exchange at BetInAsia and MadMarket, and FairExchange at Sportmarket. The path is the same in shape each time: you register with the broker, fund its wallet, then create or activate the exchange account from inside the broker account. This page shows how OrbitX works at AsianConnect, where each broker creates the account, and what commission the OrbitX route carries.

What Orbit Exchange access looks like

Orbit Exchange opens through a broker, and the four brokers reach it under three platform names. You keep one account with the broker, fund one wallet, and open the exchange account from inside it. The exchange is a betting exchange (it matches you with other bettors instead of quoting its own price), and if brokers are new to you, a plain explanation of betting brokers comes first.

The broker you choose settles three things: the name of the platform, the place where the account gets created, and the way money reaches it. The sections below take them in that order, and the full grid of operators sits on the page to compare broker access.

One row in the matrix, four different doors.

Read the row as a shortlist of brokers, not a list of exchanges to compare. BetInAsia and MadMarket share the Sharp Exchange name, and BetInAsia features and MadMarket details have each broker's own pages.

We use all four brokers, and Sportmarket is where the platform choice is clearest: FairExchange is an exchange of its own, available exclusively through Sportmarket, so choosing it means choosing the broker. The Sportmarket full review covers that side. AsianConnect uses OrbitX, which gets its own section next.

Orbit Exchange through AsianConnect

OrbitX is AsianConnect's name for Orbit Exchange. What the route gives you:

  • A betting exchange where you both back and lay bets, on web and mobile.
  • AsianConnect's Betfair-powered exchange, on a platform page headed Welcome to Orbit Exchange.
  • One of four platforms on the sign-up form, beside Piwi247, PS3838 and Asianodds88. You pick it there.
  • One wallet balance, shared by every connected bookmaker and exchange inside the AMS, where you select the ones to activate (one balance for every platform, which we like).

For the broker as a whole, read OrbitX via AsianConnect; for the company behind it, the facts on AsianConnect.

Starting from your broker account

Four moves, whichever broker you use.

  1. Register with the broker

One account per person, opened on the broker's own site. At AsianConnect the form asks for the platform you want, and OrbitX is one of the four choices.

  2. Fund the broker wallet

You deposit with the broker, not with the exchange. BetInAsia needs the wallet funded before it lets you create a product account, and Sportmarket takes the deposit on its Main Account.

  3. Create or activate the exchange account

This happens inside the broker account. The paragraph below gives the exact place at each broker.

  4. Move money across and bet

Where the broker keeps separate balances (BetInAsia, MadMarket and Sportmarket), transfer from the wallet to the exchange account, then pick your market.

At AsianConnect you choose OrbitX on the sign-up form and activate it in the AMS.

At BetInAsia you click Create Account in the Portal once the wallet is funded (the username needs five characters or more, and cannot be BetInAsia or BIA). The new account appears as SharpX in the list of product accounts, and its login details arrive by e-mail after the transfer.

At MadMarket you open the Products page of the portal after your deposit, click Create Account, enter a username and a currency, then transfer from the dashboard to the Sharp Exchange wallet.

At Sportmarket you finish KYC, deposit on the Main Account and ask support for access.

Commission on OrbitX

An exchange takes commission on what you win on a market, and the rate belongs in your price before you stake. On OrbitX the figure is 3% commission on the exchange, stated on AsianConnect's sign-up form next to the platform choice. It is the only rate this page gives, because it is the only one that belongs to the Orbit route by name. The other routes are priced next to every other exchange on how exchanges price markets.

Orbit, Betfair or Sharp Exchange?

Every broker lists a platform against both Orbit Exchange and Betfair, and the names repeat: OrbitX sits in both rows at AsianConnect, Sharp Exchange in both at BetInAsia and MadMarket, and FairExchange in both at Sportmarket.

The name follows the broker, so the broker is the real choice.

For Orbit by name, we start with AsianConnect; at the other three, pick the broker first and take the platform it comes with. Pinnacle sits in yet another row, with platforms of its own (PS3838 at three brokers, Probet42 at MadMarket), and Pinnacle for bettors sets them out, while the wider field is on the other Asian bookmakers.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between Orbit Exchange and Betfair Exchange?

Betfair Exchange and Orbit Exchange are separate rows in the matrix. At AsianConnect, OrbitX is the Betfair-powered exchange named Orbit, and the Betfair row routes through Piwi247 as well as OrbitX. Betfair markets via a broker covers the Betfair side.

Which sports does OrbitX cover?

OrbitX lists football, tennis, cricket, horse racing, American football and basketball. It also comes with a cricket sportsbook alongside the exchange.

Is two-factor authentication required?

Only for FairExchange: two-factor authentication has to be switched on before you use it. BetInAsia offers it on the Portal through an authenticator app, and MadMarket sets out how to enable it on its Sharp Exchange page.

Can I withdraw straight from the exchange?

No, withdrawals go through the broker. At AsianConnect they pass through the AMS. At BetInAsia the funds move from the product account to the BIA Wallet, and you request the withdrawal from there. At MadMarket you request it from the MadMarket Wallet, and at Sportmarket the money returns to the Main Account first.

Which broker is the simplest way into Orbit Exchange?

AsianConnect. OrbitX carries the Orbit name and you choose it on the sign-up form, which makes it the most direct route of the four. We pick BetInAsia for the Trading View on Sharp Exchange, MadMarket when we want Sharp Exchange and Edge under one wallet, and Sportmarket when we want its own exchange. The four brokers side by side sets all four against each other.
